It's a beautiful scale...

Don't you think?

When I saw it at Goodwill a few months ago, I thought, "Now, that's a beautiful scale." Much nicer than the icky one we had at the time, with the depressing spinny dial.

What, you may ask does the 4.4 mean? I think it means that it is off-calibration by 4.4 pounds. 4.4 pounds too heavy, even when no one is standing on it. Ridiculous, I know, but I like the thought.

So, let's get this show on the road.

Here's the beautiful scale with me on it this morning. Thursday, June 10, 2010.

Not so beautiful anymore. And let's don't even talk about the embarrassing state of my toenail polish.

OK, so I'm going to subtract 4.4 pounds from the 155.6 pounds (don't argue with me here, just let me have this little fantasy), and that leaves me with a lifetime high of 151.2 pounds.

Ick. Time to do something about it.

Weigh-in will be every Thursday morning in my late grandfather Harold's red polyester bathrobe. It's rather lightweight, damn comfortable, and, let's put it this way: the first time I took the photos I was naked...and...well...glass has a tendency to reflect images slightly...if you get where I'm going... Harold's robe it is!

See you next Thursday...

  1. You should weigh yourself on the WW scale next Wednesday when the lady comes and see if the numbers match up...then you'll know exactly how far off your scale is!

  2. Are you kidding? Then I might find out that my home scale is 4.4 pounds too light! No, I'd rather live in blissful ignorance.
