Hmmm...

So, this morning, my scale didn't work at first.

Then it started working again, but said the batteries were low and when it did start working again, it flashed dashes, then 0.0.

All of which makes me think that it is actually showing the correct weight now. No more subtraction of 4.4 pounds necessary. Especially since it shows me down nearly 6 pounds from last week. And there's NO WAY that is possible.

So, I guess I'm at 131.4. That's good! Nearly 20 pounds from my overall start weight. 19.6...to be exact!

Well, not so good.

Let's see. Pizza three times. Ungodly amounts of sushi twice. An entire order of Pad Thai that would've fed three people.

Gained a pound. Up to 132.8. Oh well.

I think if I'm not actively trying to lose, then I'm kinda sloppy about what I eat. Ah well.

Gotta buckle down this week.

Not the greatest week...

Up .2 pounds to 133.8.

Well, that's what happens when you eat lots of pizza and mexican food and hamburgers. Ah well. Lesson learned. I'm just happy it wasn't more.

I'm still down over 17 pounds. So, that should be a good motivator...

What a downer...

Well, I was out of town when I had my weigh in, so I weighed in a day early, on Wednesday.

I'm down to 134.4! A loss of almost 16 pounds!

Of course, we spent 4 and a half days at the beach, so who knows what my weight will be next week? Snoopy's, Scoopy's, Wintons, not too diet-friendly. Ah well.

But I did wear a bikini!

It's still working!

I have to admit, each week I'm a little concerned that my body is going to get used to my new eating habits and I'll quit losing weight, but so far it hasn't happened.

This morning, when I stepped on, it read 140.4 lbs. Subtract the usual 4.4, and I'm down to 136! I haven't weighed in the 130s in a long time!

Down to 139.

Well, while we were in Florida, I did pretty good. I tried to watch what I ate, but was helped, immensely, I'm sure, by the fact that we walked for miles, swam for hours and sweated our assess off.

As a result, I lost two pounds!

10 pounds down...

Well, I lost another 1.6 pounds this week.

I'm down to 141 even and am really happy with my progress! I started at 151.2...and it hasn't quite taken a month...

Although we leave on Saturday for Disney World, the mecca of healthy food choices. So, we'll see how that goes.

Yay! I had another good week...

This Weight Watchers thing is working. I've been really good, eaten lots and lots of fruit and veggies, stuck with my points and it actually hasn't been that hard.

Of course, the piece of Tombstone pepperoni pizza I had last night with the kids was fucking awesome! I was like, ohhhhhhhhhh yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh! And today I'm meeting a friend at Mike's pub for burgers, which will be a bit of a challenge...

So, 147lbs. minus 4.4lbs. = 142.6lbs.

Considering that I started at 151 three weeks ago... yay baggy pants!

Not as big as last week...

...but still some loss, none-the-less.

This morning's weigh-in...149.2 pounds. Subtract the completely rational 4.4 pounds (I don't want to talk about it), and I'm down to 144.8. Yay!

I think if I started exercising in some way other than beer-league softball on Mondays (which can hardly be called exercise—let's be honest), I might do better.

Week one down...and my weight down, too!


Well, I was really good last week. I stuck to my Weight Watchers regimen—down to the last point—and it paid off.

This morning, me and my newly painted toes climbed on the scale and voila...150.4. Subtracting the 4.4 the scale seems to be off (don't give me shit about it...I'm doing it) and I'm at 146 even. 5 pounds down from last week!

It's a beautiful scale...

Don't you think?

When I saw it at Goodwill a few months ago, I thought, "Now, that's a beautiful scale." Much nicer than the icky one we had at the time, with the depressing spinny dial.

What, you may ask does the 4.4 mean? I think it means that it is off-calibration by 4.4 pounds. 4.4 pounds too heavy, even when no one is standing on it. Ridiculous, I know, but I like the thought.

So, let's get this show on the road.

Not so beautiful anymore. And let's don't even talk about the embarrassing state of my toenail polish.

OK, so I'm going to subtract 4.4 pounds from the 155.6 pounds (don't argue with me here, just let me have this little fantasy), and that leaves me with a lifetime high of 151.2 pounds.

Ick. Time to do something about it.

Weigh-in will be every Thursday morning in my late grandfather Harold's red polyester bathrobe. It's rather lightweight, damn comfortable, and, let's put it this way: the first time I took the photos I was naked...and...well...glass has a tendency to reflect images slightly...if you get where I'm going... Harold's robe it is!
